Week 3 Sketches

Floral Malaysian patterns.

Stained glass skylight.

Walking map- home to the boat sheds.

Old tobacco tin- Gran used to keep pins in it.

Wooden floor, etched with large scale Malaysian floral patterns.

Interior of a coffee machine- might be a structure for a Rube Goldberg machine.

Cubes made from book covers stitched together- could be used to make rearrangable platforms.

Old family photographs- button press creates sounds that are relevant to the people in the photographs/my childhood. E.g. church hymnals, lullabies, fragments of Malay...

Stained glass skylight with a sheet of glass underneath with water from outside the boat sheds passing through. This will create interesting colours and patterns, and link the space back to its context of a boat shed.
